maybe you can see cars going by okay so there are no big backups with this right now and you can continue using northbound 280 to head up into san francisco towards 101. it's that 19th avenue off-ramp that's flared off. it came in as a car versus pedestrian earlier. earlier a chp on scene told us this was a possible crime scene but right now it sounds like it was a pedestrian in the road and that's what happened. that's what caused this fatal accident. they gave us an initial opening time of 5 a.m. for when they could hopefully get that off-ramp open but as you can see, it's still closed. i talk to a chp officer a short time ago and they hope to open it any minute. so hopefully this won't be a major impact or cause major problems for the morning commute. right now, as your alternate, use junipero serra avenue or san jose avenue off-ramps as your alternates to get from daly city into san francisco. a lot of slick surfaces as gianna has been mentioning this morning. it is very drizzly out this morning so be extra careful for your morning drive. again this traffic alert still in effect here

a sign of some big changes in the not too distant future. today, hey, we're going to see those numbers soar again, 90s and low 100s inland but at the coast, 30 to 40-degree difference there as we are going to see that patchy fog right out toward the beaches. of course the bay just falling in between there mostly sunny skies, a little breezy in the afternoon. numbers right now we have 62 degrees in san jose. very mild start there. 61 in fremont but 52 degrees in san francisco. and 53 degrees in pacifica. we are looking at hot temperatures in the central valley as high as 103 in sacramento today, 104 in fresno. the high country checking in at 92 degrees, yosemite. and 84 degrees in lake tahoe. high pressure still the dominant feature right now strengthening somewhat for today so i think it's going to be hotter in most spots inland for today. at the coast you have that patchy fog that will keep you cooler but you get the idea, looks like another hot one in the works. temperatures inside the bay you have some 80s and 90s, 60s at the coast. hot 1
